Battles – “Tonto”

For those of you who’ve been sleeping on Battles, wake up. The brainchild of several uber-talented musicians including ex-Helmet drummer John Stanier and ex-Don Caballero guitarist Ian Williams, Battles manages to ride that fine line between rock, metal, electronic and experimental. Some of you may have caught the music video for their first single “Atlas”, another great tune off of their first-full length, Mirrored, but that version is a much shorter and pared-down one than the album version. So, in the spirit of featuring the original versions of these wonderful tracks, check out the video for “Tonto”, a collaboration with celebrated visual light artists, UVA (United Visual Artists).
